JUMP ROPE CAMP
Eastside Gymnastics Academy is working with our long-time partners, the Hot Dog USA Jump Rope Team, to offer a fun jump rope camp! Our camp will be both age and skill-specific, so we can serve the needs of anyone from total jump rope beginners through nationally competitive jump rope athletes. Hot Dog USA boasts many National, Grand National and World Champion jumpers who will be serving on staff, as well as jump rope experts being flown in from around the country. The staff to learner ratio is very small, as low as one teacher to every three or four jumpers, so every participant is guaranteed to get a lot of attention and personalized instruction!

JUMP ROPE – GYMNASTICS CAMP
This camp combines all of the wonderful jump rope instruction being offered in our “Jump Rope Camp” (described above) with gymnastics instruction specific to the needs of jump rope athletes. Professional EGA gymnastics coaches have worked with the Hot Dog USA Jump Rope Team since 1997 to train their athletes for National and World competition, and now we are sharing this expertise with the rest of the jump rope community. This camp features five full days of instruction; three hours per day of jump rope instruction and three hours per day of gymnastics instruction specific to the sport of jump rope. We use state-of-the-art equipment, including foam pits, rod floors and trampolines to teach gymnastics skills safely, and our professional instructors guide participants in safely bringing their gymnastics moves to the jump rope floor. We provide a lunch and snacks each day, and hosting is available to any out-of-town participants, provided by members of the Hot Dog USA team. Last year our camp included people from all over the Seattle area, plus jumpers from Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio and Michigan, as well as jumpers from Canada, Korea and Taiwan! This year we’ve also had interest from jumpers in Belgium, Germany and France, so hopefully we’ll have a truly international event!

- LOCATION: Morning jump rope sessions are held at Kamiakin Junior High School (just up the road from EGA), and afternoon gymnastics sessions are held at EGA. Transportation from Kamiakin to EGA is provided by members of the Hot Dog USA team, though parents are also welcome to provide their own transportation for their students.

TUMBLING CAMP:
The EGA Tumbling Camp is designed for anyone wanting to improve their tumbling skills. This may include people wanting an introduction to tumbling in order to increase strength, flexibility and coordination, as well as recreational or competitive gymnasts, cheerleaders, jump rope athletes, circus arts performers, acrobatic skiers, etc. All experience and ability levels are welcome! We will group participants by both age and skill level, so instruction will be both age-appropriate and skill-specific. We use state-of-the-art equipment, including foam pits, rod floors and trampolines to teach gymnastics skills safely and effectively.

CHEER CAMP:
This camp will provide specialized cheerleading instruction, provided by members and coaches of our own Evergreen All-Star Cheerleading team, along with special guest instructor Nick Woodard from Houston, Texas. The curriculum will include dance, jumps, and stunting. This camp will be appropriate for anyone from beginners to elite-level cheerleaders, recreational or competitive.

BOYS GYMNASTICS CAMP:
This camp is for all boys interested in learning or getting better at gymnastics on all the apparatus! Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parellel Bars, and the Horizontal bar. Your son will also be involved in team building excersizes and games each day.

Taught by EGA girls competitive team coaches.
