Flips: Beginning Level Gymnastics
* 1 Hour 15 Min * (pricing) |
This level is learning the next level of gymnastics foundational
skill building. The focus on gaining strength, flexibility and agility as well as obtaining a strong
foundation of gymnastics skills is still the goal but with more advanced body motions. For example
on Floor Ex., students will be learning handstand holds as and ‘marching handstands’. The cart
wheeling motions are upgraded to add power and distance and the bridges will begin to be turned
over in preparation for ‘walkover’ skills. This advancement to foundational skill building prepares
the students for the move into more advanced and turned over or inverted motion skills.

Aerials: Advanced Beinner / Intermediate Level Gymnastics
* 1 Hour 15 Min * (pricing) |
This level is taking the foundational skills that they have
acquired and putting them into more ‘acrobatic’ applications. For example on Floor Ex., the
students will be modifying cartwheels into round offs and bridge kick-over’s into back walkovers
and/or handsprings. Rolling motions (summer salts), become extensions or summer salts into
handstands etc. Again: all the skills on each piece of apparatus are going through this growth and
metamorphosis. The focus on strength, flexibility and agility increases with each new class
level.

* 1.5 Hours * (pricing) |
| This is a beginner level class for older girls. Students will be
learning the same introductory level skills on all apparatus (I.E. Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance
Beam and Floor Exercise) as Walkovers Classes but in an age appropriate environment. The
focus is on gaining strength, flexibility and agility as well as obtaining a strong foundation of
gymnastics skills. For example on Floor Ex., students will be learning handstand skills, as well as
forward and backward roll (Summer Salts), and bridge and cartwheel skills. It is this same
foundational skill building that we adhere to on all events in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.
This is also a pre-cursor to our “High School Girls” class. |
